Optimalisasi Kemampuan Riset Mahasiswa YUNTECH melalui Pemanfaatan Teknologi AI

Abstract


Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemanfaatan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam mendukung proses penelitian mahasiswa, khususnya dalam penulisan akademik, manajemen referensi, dan analisis data. Padahal, perkembangan teknologi AI menawarkan solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas penelitian. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan tools berbasis AI. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan interaktif, praktik langsung, serta pendampingan personal kepada mahasiswa Graduate School of Technological and Vocational Education, YUNTECH, Taiwan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman terhadap konsep AI dan mampu mengaplikasikan tools seperti Grammarly, Mendeley, dan ChatGPT dalam proses penelitian secara lebih efektif. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan kualitas karya tulis akademik, kepercayaan diri, serta kemampuan analisis mahasiswa. Program ini juga menghasilkan modul pelatihan dan mendorong terbentuknya kolaborasi akademik. Kesimpulannya, pemanfaatan teknologi AI terbukti mampu meningkatkan kompetensi penelitian mahasiswa secara signifikan serta mendukung daya saing akademik di tingkat internasional.



This community service activity is motivated by the limited utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in supporting students’ research processes, particularly in academic writing, reference management, and data analysis. In fact, the advancement of AI technology offers solutions to improve research efficiency and quality. Therefore, this program aims to enhance students’ literacy and skills in utilizing AI-based tools. The methods employed include interactive training, hands-on practice, and personalized mentoring for students at the Graduate School of Technological and Vocational Education, YUNTECH, Taiwan. The results indicate that participants showed improved understanding of AI concepts and were able to effectively use tools such as Grammarly, Mendeley, and ChatGPT in their research activities. Additionally, there was an improvement in academic writing quality, confidence, and analytical skills. The program also produced training modules and fostered academic collaboration. In conclusion, the use of AI technology has proven to significantly enhance students’ research competencies and support their academic competitiveness at an international level.
